Singer/Guitarist looking for members (alt/pop/melodic rock)

Hey all, I'm a 17 year old Dublin Based singer/guitarist/songwriter currently searching for a guitarist, Bassist, and Drummer to form an alt/melodic/pop rock band .

I have a few rough demos of songs I self-recorded when I was younger up at www.myspace.com/17stories

I'm usually mainly a drummer, but I kinda wanted to give my solo stuff a shot!

I'm looking for members who are confident at what they're playing, can learn songs easily and look good while they're playing basically, also the ability to write is a plus!

Nice songs..jaysus for 17 your pretty talented but you must be rich to be able to afford all those instruments/recording equipment! A lot of time spent there. Fair play to ya

Hey dude, I am seriously impressed by your songs, are you playing all of the instruments there?! I'm 17 too, and I play the guitar, piano, bass and I'm learning how to play the drums now.

I think you're really talented, and you have a good voice. I have around 50 instrumentals myself, and I find it hard to write lyrics, so I'm looking to get into a band. You definately can solo and can write good songs.

Some of my main influences are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Guns N' Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, David Bowie, Muse, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen and The Smashing Pumpkins, just to name a few.

I also have a shed in my backgarden with a drum-kit in it, aswell as a piano, and a piano/bass/vocal amp and guitar amp. I have my own guitar and bass.

So if you're interested, please tell me. Thanks very much.

Hiya, glad to see you're going for the band. I chatted with you about a year and a half ago on myspace when my band (Faded Motorway Cronies) were looking for someone for a support slot. You're only 17 now? Holy f*ck. I really like your songs.

hey, my band is in bad need of a singer/guitarist like yourself. we have very similar influences to the ones you mentioned on your myspace page. so far, we have a drummer, bassist and lead guitarist. so we just need someone to sing and play guitar. were into heavy stuff( zeppelin, acdc,) but i write a lot of softer melodic stuff too. the main thing about us is, we want to try everything and anything!! we were impressed by your recordings and were wondering if you would like to come for jam maybe?

ps. we have all our own kit(p.a etc) all you would need is am amp and guitar.
