Very top ost on this page - How to set up the PSP should be almost identical to the PS3.

On your computer open your web browser and type in the url needed to access your router setting - usually something like 192.168.xx.xx. Once you are in there, it should show you security settings where you'll find the WEP key.

Go to your internet browser. In the address bar type:
    http://192.168.1.254
    Hit Enter.

A web page should pop up entitled "eircom broadband".

There should be a menu list on the left hand side. Click "3D Wireless" and look for the line saying encryption key - that's your WEP key. It'll be a long string of text and numbers. Make sure you note it down carefully - you have to get it exactly right when you copy it.

dont mean to throw more spanners in the works but set ur wireless to wpa not wep cos wep is easily hackable

yea i really wouldn't advise you start changing your settings (from WEP) it tends to get messy if you don't know what you're doing.

A word of advice: write down all the details you get on the eircom page with al your details on it (IP Address, dns server, all that crap) write it in a notebook clearly, also write in your WEP, and store all of these somewhere safe. Because chances are, you're going to need them someday and it's really usefull having all the information in one place.

Your wep/wpa key should be stuck to the bottom of your router.

I set up my PS3 with eircom broadband 2 evenings ago. It was working fine, the browser, playstation network & online games. Then this evening it stopped working. It won't pick up the router when I tried to set it up again. I typed the name in manually, did the rest of the details and when it tested it, checking the IP address failed. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection as 2 laptops were opperating in the same room with a very strong signal. Also the playstation isn't fighting for internet with the laptops as I tried disconnecting both. Any ideas? lol :(
