Man 'had sex with victim's body'

_40845112_bowman_300_pa.jpg Sally Anne Bowman had recently turned 18

A man accused of murdering teenage model Sally Anne Bowman confessed to having sex with her after she was killed, a court has been told.
Miss Bowman, 18, was stabbed and bitten many times outside her home in Croydon, south London, in September 2005.
Chef Mark Dixie, 35, of no fixed address, denies murdering Miss Bowman.
The Old Bailey heard that Mr Dixie confessed to having sex with her as she lay in a pool of blood in her driveway but claimed she was already dead.
The court heard Mr Dixie had said he had been drinking, took drugs and had "taken advantage of the situation".
Prosecutor Brian Altman said: "The defendant confesses that he had sex with Sally Anne and that he had sex with her after her death.

Miss Bowman's last words to mother

"That astonishingly is his defence. It is born out of desperation.
"There is not a single grain of truth in it."
Miss Bowman, the youngest of four daughters of Linda and Paul Bowman, died just two weeks after her 18th birthday, the court heard. Her family were in court.
Mr Altman said Miss Bowman had been dropped off after a night out in Croydon Town Centre by her boyfriend at about 0400 BST.
The court heard neighbours heard her screams about 20 minutes afterwards but it was not until about 0630 BST that the "gruesome discovery" of the model's "mostly naked and bloodied body", was made.
    Modelling career
The defendant's DNA was found on Miss Bowman's body, his bloody fingerprint on her shoe and his bite marks on her cheek, neck and breast, the jury was told.
She was living in a rented room but would sometimes stay with her mother, the court heard.
"The last thing Sally Anne said to her mum was 'love you mum, thanks for letting me stay' and she promised to send her a text message to inform her whether her sister was dropping her off home," Mr Altman said.
    "Linda never received a text."
The court heard Miss Bowman was interested in music and drama and was awarded a place at the Brit (British Record Industry Trust) school in Croydon.
She was convinced that she was going to be a top model. Her ambition was to be on the front page of Vogue magazine, Mr Altman said. According to her sister a top modelling agency had started showing an interest in her, Mr Altman said. The case continues.
