    loads and loads of stretching....

I never stretched enough.... every day you should be doing 15 mins after a workout, loads of basic ones do them and keep doing them and you be good to go man....

if you only started thai dont worry cos it will gradually get better for ya...

also dont put the word kickboxing anywhere near the word thai :)

    thanks paddy

I remember reading somewhere that Thais don't do stretches. Is that true?

thanks to you both. Was shown the basic stretches alright and was just wondering if there were extra ones for Thai boxing(hows that Paddy? lol ).

Khannid i also googled looking for thai boxing stetches and on the sherdog website a few boxers said they have trained in thailand and that they done no streches as such!Mind you the Thai's arent like us fat arse Irish..

    Hehe. :D

I've improved my kicking flexibility by marking a point on my bag (by making a circle around it with duck tape) and aiming for that. I hate doing stretches to be honest. Find them shockin' boring. You could have a look at a foam roller too. Less boring IMO and a decent way to improve flexibility. They're a bit ching ching for what you get (I couldn't find one for less than 30 euro....IT'S A LUMP OF FOAM YE ROBBERS!!!!).

I made my own one with a yoga mat (wifes, unused) and some deodorant cans for the middle. Works grand. Before it, I was using a rolling pin. Also worked grand, but less comfortable.

    Yes, I'm a cheap git.
