Japanese Laptop Driver Problem

    Hi all,

    Sorry to bother but I need some help. I have a Japanese laptop that I need to download some drivers for. Unfortunately the laptop model is only supported in Japanese and the website is in Japanese. I have been trying to find the drivers myself using on the google translation tool & Bablefish but I am at a dead end Im afraid.

    The laptop model is Mebius PC-XV75FV

    Basically I am installing a new operating system and I dont have the original windows xp disc that came with the laptop (Stupidly I never backed up the drivers before I formatted .. I assumed they would be easy to track down) .. and so I dont have the drivers.

    I would greatly appriecate it if anybody here could make any suggestions. I have already posted on a couple of Japanese language forums bu I havent had any replies.

    thx m8. Unfortunately even with the page translated I cant seem to find the display, sound, modem, usb drivers. Sharp suck!!

    Do you know the make of the video card? Ok - I downloaded the spec sheet from here.

    I'm guessing your card is the s3 prosavage 8, driver from here. Looks old though, gives you a start. I'd say mail them for the usb drivers (sharp)

    I found the driver page for your laptop (I know some Japanese) and there was nothing there. Which version of Windows XP are you installing? If you're installing SP1a or higher (I'd highly recommend starting off with SP2 if you can) chances are Windows comes with all the suitable drivers. Or have you already tried this?

    Well I installed xp pro with sp1 .. I havent downloaded sp2 yet. Maybe it will work. Cheers
