Nokia E61i on O2 - Approved Yet...?

I've an E61 and love it. However, I've an upgrade through work and am going to go for an E61i.

My supplier has told me that the E61i is still waiting to be approved on the O2 network. O2 has said "the next few weeks". Does anyone have any idea how long this process normally takes? I'm concerned that they may never approve it at all!

Also, it's practically identical to the E61; does anyone know why such a similar phone would need separate approval?

E61i was released one year ago - still not approved by o2?? Nevertheless, you can use it just fine with your o2 sim, if you decide to go for an unlocked one. If you get it as an upgrade, hope you dont have to wait that long.
