Went to turn on PS3 & no signal showed up (was last used a few days ago)
Did the hold on button for 5 secs to reset, still nowt.
Took out the hdmi & put in the yellow white red leads & reset & it worked grand.
One of the metal ends of the hdmi (€15) was a bit loose.
Does this happen often to cables? (bout month old)
or is the the PS3 (bout 2 mths old)

    Thanks

try different HDMI port on TV, reset PS3 display settings again and it should auto-detect HDMI being used.

While any cable will do electrically speaking , it does have to be mechanically sound , thats not good that the end is loose, bring it back and have it replaced.
