Ok, just a few photos from yesterday. Not the best conditions, but happy enough with some photos. Thanks Keith for the invite.

Wow, really captured the action there! I love the first one, the expressions are so concentrated.
Was staring at the second one for a while, thinking "has he photoshopped the end of the stick out by mistake?!" til I saw the broken piece flying through the air! :o:o lol. Wonderful timing for that shot.

    First one is great!

    Real action in it.

    Thanks for the comments.

It wasn't the best of conditions - dull day, cold, windy, dark arena, but I'm happy with a good number of shots.

The action at times was very fast, and at other times it was just so slow, and far away from me.

The mallet being broken was a lucky shot. The action was moving towards me, so I took a burst of images. It was only later that I noticed the shot was crisp and clear, as well as having the head of the mallet flying in the air.

Not exactly an easy sport to photograph.

Nice work Paul. Second one is great timing. It's nice to look back on a burst to see one like that.

Yeah, the gear was very useful. Nice burst rate, high ISO, quality glass. :D
