Small earphone jack

Hey, Sorry if this is a dumb question:pI have an old japanese mp3 player but their earphone jack is a much smaller size then standard 3.5mm sized european jacks.The earphones on this are broken so,does anybody know if you can buy some kind of an adaptor so i can use my "normal" good earphones:) Thanks
