Andorra and offpiste?

I read in a guidebook recently that Soldeu/Pas de la Casa is actually quite good for entry level offpiste. It seems that most intermediates(myself included) avoid the place due to the transfer and gentle slopes.
Just wondering if you could get a weeks worth of skiing out of it, assuming there was a good dump of snow of course.
    Thanks,

Well I wasn't an intermediate when I went to Andorra, it was my first time. But nearly everyone else was intermediate/advanced and they had no complaints. On the last day, we went on the trek from Pas de la Casa to Soldeu and it was an excellent day out. Nice mix of everything along the way, I even popped my black slope cherry on the way ;)

Also, as far as I can remember, there's an advanced snow park either in Soldeu or along the way. The one in Pas de la Casa was pretty beginner-friendly.

The area from Grau Rouge to Soldeu/ El Tarter is full of handy blue and reds and it's easy to scope out the areas in between the runs before hand to decide which bit of off-piste you fancy having a go at, you would need there to be a decent amount of snow though. That area is also really empty for most of the beginning half of the week as well as the ski schools from both Pas and Soldeu ends don't tend to head in that direction until later in the week.

Not that I do any of that crazy jumping around stuff, but the park in El Tarter is way better than what in Pas or Soldeu. You can easily get from Pas to El Tarter by mid morning, once you figure out the quickest route, but if your on a board then there is one section by the Soldeu ski school that you'd probably want to avoid due to it being a bit up hill.

I prefer to get around on two planks, Robinph, so hopefully that won't be a problem. Btw,does that snowcat run all week or just at weekends? I think Andorra will stay as the last option due to the transfer, but at least it is an option. Are any of the reds/blacks proper reds/blacks or just glorified blues?

They do have some proper reds but only a couple of blacks he i remember right. I wasn't doing anything on the blacks on my last visit there other than standing at the bottom of a mogul run filming my mates falling over a lot on the way down. All of the runs are pretty wide open ones anyway.
