All I can say is Awesome... although a return of the series would be better but I guess we know that will never happen :( lets hope it isn't just a rumour and actually gets the go ahead after the writers strike.

    EXCELLENT!

Would much rather another series but this is better than nothing. Not sure it would work as a movie though...

read something just yesterday from ron howard saying they're waiting for the writers strike to end so they can get this thing in motion.

while i'd rather a new series, a movie might be just as good (in that it could get HBO or someone on board for a new series)...

    w00t :D

I'll do a sex wee if this is true. Would of course love a new series, just one. So they could at least be given the chance to end the series the way they wanted. The third season was so rushed towards the end it ain't right.

I agree I'd prefer maybe 2 long specials like the Office did to finish off the series, not sure a feature length movie would work

One of the best TV shows ever

If this happens I want someone to shoot me dead when I'm leaving the cinema after it's first screening because I don't think I'll ever be happier than that moment.

Unless like the series it gets better on it's second and third watching of course ;)

I hope it's a LONG movie and not one of these 92 minute jobbies. This is fantastic news!

Please please please, let this go ahead.
If it's even half as good as the TV show, it'd be one of the funniest movies ever.

This is incredible news. But can it be pulled off? Rarely a tv show make a good movie.

Arrested Development is so over rated... Yeah, it has it's moments... but meh.

Arrested Development is so over rated... Yeah, it has it's moments... but meh.

the only people that would say such a thing are people that have not watched the show from episode 1 all the way to the last episode. Arrested Development is one of the finest pieces of comedy since Faulty Towers. If anything it is highly underrated imho. Otherwise it wouldn't of got canceled.

It's rare for ANY show to achive this high of a score on metacritic:

I'm looking forward to the movie, although I thought the ending of the show was simply perfect, I can't see how they are going to continue on from this without ruining it somehow, it would be like trying to add a corner to a circle.
