Well it seems like people had fun with the restoration project so here's another. See what you can do and as always post back your results and any tips and tricks used.

This time I'm providing a small brief as a customer would give it.
    - Must retain all the detail within the photo.
    - Don't care about frame so remove it.
    - Sepia tone has been exaggerated over time but is still wanted.
    - He was holding a short wooden riding crop it has to be kept.

    And my first attempt.
    ripped_after_small.jpg

    Time taken 45 minutes
    - Upped resolution to 300dpi
    - crop to get rid of frame
    - spot healing brush for scratches and small stains
    - Clone brush for missing bits and larger stains
    - Convert to BW + contrast
    - Dodge and burn to bring back some detail
    - Photo filter sepia tone 75%

ok here's my effort, cant say how long it took as i did a little Fri night before going out then some this morning and a half hour or so tonight!! i guess maybe two hours in all. I tend to zone out doing this sort of stuff.
    anyway
the main tool was the clone tool then ran it through neat image, ran another filter on it to clear up jpeg artifacts, used the dodge/burn tool as well, the small riding crop was very difficult! couldn't get it the way i wanted. Was that his hat on the chair? oh and HUGE feet!!!
