    hi guys
hope ye all had a great wkd
i recently have ben editing word files, ppt files on my mac, and i also have bootcamp on my computer and given that we live ina windows oriented world, i always end up opening these files, and editing them on windows machines, somewhere or other,
there is a growing trend among my doc files, which leads to a corrupt file error appearing in a msgbox.
i dont know why this, is, but its alarming me!
any insight into what might be happening wood be great
    thanks very much
    ed

Some information on whats happening, when its happening, what the error is, what programs you're using, and that kind of useful information might be nice. Otherwise we're just shooting in the dark.

Will the file reopen in NeoOffice ? Can you open the file in Word for Mac ?
On the windows machine can you open the file in Wordpad or Notepad? It may look gobbledygook but it will prove the file is at least readable by the system.

How was the memory stick formatted ? Windows can't read Mac formatted drives by default - try formatting it as FAT - copy the text you typed in NeoOffice and paste it into Textedit. Set Textedit to Richtext format and save the document to the memory stick and then set it to Plain text and save it again with a different name. Now see if either will open under windows.
