Devi Underfloor Heating - Help Needed

    Hi,

Just moved into a new place and it has underfloor heating.

We have the devireg 121 thermostat while there is also a red light with switch in the room which i think is connected to the Underfloor Heating.

The problem is i cant figure out how to use it - i have the thermostat set to 20 degrees and have it on for a few days but it still hasnt reached the tempature as the thermostat is still showing red but if you turn the degree reader back to around 10, it turns green.

I know it takes afew days to reach the tempature but i really think it should be heating the place by now. Its just that in the evening from around 6 to 10, its pretty cold

Also, the red lights on the wall never seem to come on except at strange times like 6am in the morning (the only time ive actually seen it and this only happened once)

Is it possible that its on some form of a timer? because we cant seem to find one anywhere

Any help or instructions would be greatly appreciated

I dont think Devi heating mats are for heating the room, they just take the chill out of cold tiles or wooden floors.

I dont think that there mats, the thermostat is meant to activate the underfloor heating, or well so the landlord told us

The landlord is away for a bit so couldnt contact him to see what the story was...

Some information about thermostats at devi.ie/
couldn't see the 121 model listed.
As Greebo said devi mats are primarily designed to take the chill out of floor tiles although they do have other u/floor products.

The Devireg 121 is a very old thermostat. It controls the top up element in a Deviflex storage system. It uses on-peak electricity. Try and use the off-peak elements first. The off-peak is controlled by a Devireg 750 on your consumer board. Ring Devi to confirm that the 750 is set right and make sure your spur switches are on.
