    Just curios really
whats your opinion on upgradng from something like a g0 q6600 i had thought of selling but have been put of at the interwebz scare of low fsb walls of the next generation 45nm chips?
if you are upgrading then what too?

personally i'd love to see the benches and heat under load output of:

    65nm 4mb cache @ 3.8 ghtz
    45nm 6mb cache @3.6 ghtz

whats the extra cache worth ? would 200mhz make up for it? and is there considerable heat output reductions in the newer quads?

Heat should be a good bit lower then the current 65nm chips. But dont expect a drop of 20c or anything like that. Maybe 4/5c under load. The new archecture whould make up for a lower clockspeed. Some reports are saying the new 45nm are 7% faster clock for clock. So the extra cash does make up it would seem.
