Trailer Park Boys Season 7 - WTF?!

Have any of you seen TPB season 7?

It's terrible; it's like a different show. It's not funny anymore and it has a depressing tone to it. The episodes don't flow properly (they abruptly end) and the acting/writing is awful.

    I loved season 1 - 6. I can't understand how they've suddenly gotten it so wrong.

It's as if the people who funded the movie have told them to dumb it down or change the format for a US audience.

IMO they've ruined the show. :(

Does anyone else feel the same?

yeah, while watching series 7 i also thought thet TPB may have dumbed down a little. I suspect this has something to do with the movie. However after watching the series a couple of times, I does grow on you.

DUnno what channel it's on but i dl'd it.

I suppose there's not much they haven't done at this stage; I agree that it is not of as high quality but I still think it is great. Love Phil Collins and the cross-border shenanigans

I didnt think the season was that bad, not as good as prevous seasons though.
    "The scorpion" floored me :)

I had that same WTF feeling after the first episode as well. Couldn't quite put my finger on it but it was like they were all being forced to do the show rather than enjoying it. The production quality was quite different too, though again hard to say exactly what had changed. It either got better as the season went on or I just dumbed myself down.

A serious lack of gun fights too, i dont think is down to them it seems like there's someone pulling the strings on the script to try and broaden their viewer ratio

Initially I thought that too, but a 2nd and 3rd watch and I really warmed to it. Sit down with a drink and watch "3 good men are dead in there". it'll have you on the floor. No season this year but i believe they're making a 1 hour special.

Don't know. I downloaded it. And the poster above bought the DVD. There's a possibility that it'll be on paramount comedy next month.

I agree. I wasn't instantly impressed as I was with the previous seasons but it has grown on me after a few watches. "3 good me are dead in there" is a quality episode...Peanut butter and JAAAAAAAAM!

As far as I'm aware there is going to be a 1 hour special this year. I think they are filming season 8 now, Mike Clattenberg has been quoted as saying that it will be the last season:(

    Class episode.

The Dirty Burger is great, and the last episode with the boys on the river is cracking.

Yeah the last ep is good, but the whole season was a slightly different direction.

I watched Season 1-7 in about a week, and there are some strange changes in S7 but I still found it good and wanting more.

    Mustard Tiger!

    Rakids!

    Shitty Bill

Trailer park boys deserves so much more recognition than it gets.
It is one of the best comedies made in the last ten years FFS!

Maybe, but Season 5 had 10 eps as well, but it wasn't consistent, S6 only had 6!

I like the big dirty movie as well :)

Seasons 4 and 5 were the best in my opinion

    Totally agree. It took me about two years to coerice my friends into watching this show, now they all love it. It works on so many levels and is not just slapstick as so many people dismiss it as. Imo 'Rickyisms' are one of hte finer points of the show. My favourite is probably 'I todaso' but the list is endless. Here's a few to enjoy;

I found as the seventh series progressed it grew one me more and more. There were some classic episodes, from "three good men are dead" "the mustard tiger" Jump the cheeseburger" phil collins is one of my favourite characters and the final two episodes.

I remember sitting down to watch season one years ago and giving up on it. Needless to say I gave it a second chance many years on and love it so much. I have seen most of the seasons now a dangerously large amount of times!

I await my Dirty Burger tshirt :)

    Frozen mixed vegetable cocks..

Phil(adelphia) Collins is a great addition. I love the episode where he burbs all over Bubbles - "Ahhhh the dirty b*stard is burping mackerel juice all over me!"

Where can you get a Dirty Burger t-shirt???

TPB The Movie was an AWFUL let down :(

Little or no J to the R O C and a rubbish storyline (no weed growing, just stealing coins from an arcade)

Could have been so much better
