    Howdie,

I'm a complete and utter networking n00b, so please bare with me on this one.

I'm running a Canon iP3000 printer from my Windows XP Desktop Machine. This desktop is hardwired to a NetGear Wireless Router. On the network, I'm running two laptops, one XP and one OS X.

What is the procedure for being able to print straight to that printer from my MBP, without actually plugging my MBP into the printer.

    Is it actually possible ?

If the printer has been shared from the computer that it's actually connected to and this machine is switched on then yes it is possible.

From the System Preferences on your MBP click the Print & Fax > Windows and whatever Workgroup appears - any printers available should appear. This assumes you are using Leopard.

Let us know if this helps.
