Seen this today in Currys for the great price of €1249 also Harvey Norman are doing it for €1599 which includes 5 year warranty and glass stand! Some pretty good offers I think. I dismissed Philips as a new tv but I have a renewed interest in them now. Anybody got some feedback on them by the way?

Edit:Sorry the model is actually the 50PFP5532D

No 1080p, which at that size I think would be worth getting.

Philips Plasma's are pretty rubbish IMO also. Panasonic and Samsung are the 2 manufacturers with good prices, specs, quality.

Great to hear you like it. Ive seen very little of this tv online but the people who have bought seem to be pretty happy. Whats the picture of SD cable/ Sky like? Any chance of a few screens of it in action? Thanks

Not relative to the price, a 1080p 50' is mad money

That amilight feature on the phillips looks pretty good instore but i'd love to see it in operation in a darkened room.
