iphone time problem?

Whenever I receive a text on my iphone the indicated time is always wrong:confused: If I get a text at around 20:00pm the phone will state it was sent at around 5am. The time set on my phone is correct and whenever I send texts it states the correct time.
I changed the international region setting from America to Ireland but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.
Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to correct it?
