hi guys after rebuilding my rig 1 1/2 weeks ago i have loads of problems, first when i tried to load up my exsiting windows,i would get a bsod every time i tired to load windows,i then reinsalled windows but with the same errors i tired reinstalling windows again :( i managed to get into windows once when i tried to reboot i got "roboot and select a proper boot device" in the bios screen.I then reinstalled windows again:eek: this time it worked fun until tonight.I was testing my ram with memtest ,i tried all my sticks sepralty (4x1 balltix) and they all failed  , i then tried 2 stickes from another pc and they worked perfectly.i tired then to boot back into windows and again i got roboot and select a proper boot device i dont know why this is happing my raid should be perfect ? could my ram be the cause? or is the mobo bollixed?

    hope you can help

Hi, I have the same mobo, the maximus extreme. I think your problem might be with the memory timings or voltages. Have you changed any overclock properties in the mobo? have you updated the bios to the latest version 1001? It is a young BIOS and there seems to be still quite a few issuses. Try setting the manual settigns to the recomended operating specs for you components. Also I have a problem where my raid card prevents the onboard intel raid from loading unless I disable the onboard Jmicrom controler. Try the Asus form there are plenty of similar problems.
