    Hi,

    I was wondering if anyone would know how to solve a slight problem with windows live messenger? Essentially, whenever I sign in all my contacts, display names and personal messages are from months ago, it's like they are not updating.

    When people sign in, their info then updates, but if I sign out and sign back in, their former display names are displayed.

    Would anyone know how to solve this?

    happened to me a few times.
    i uninstalled live messenger.

    downloaded it again
    and re-entered my details and it worked fine since then.

    hope it helps.

    I've done that a few times now to no effect.

    ok was thinking of a new way to get it working.

    IF you want to try this, it might help.
    remove everyone off your contact list.
    make sure you write thir e-mail address's down first!!

    remove msn off the computer so its got no contact info stored on your pc.
    install new.
    and add the contacts again.
