I put a few squid on Almeria because I knew Madrids luck would run out soon. Now Im 50 quid happier and alot more confident about Barcas chances, if they can reduce the deficit tomorrow to 6 points against Osasuna.

Valencia won made it 7, sevilla made it 6, bilbao ****ed it up then the rest were draws.

barca pitch heavily waterlogged, players falling all over the place.

Are Sevilla up to 6th now? Tittle might still be there for the taking.

How big a goal was that? Great finish as well. Good to see how the team celebrated as well. Showed unity, something which can be in shrt supply at times for Barca.

The title race, if there is one, is between Barca and Real. Villareal in 3rd are 9 points behind Barca, so it a tall order for anyone to even catch 2nd tbh.

^ Most likely, but if Barca did not capitalise on Reals rare defeat the trophy may as well have been handed over tomorrow.

This was its kept somewhat interesting and could be a massive psychological boost for Barca.

Itll at least give some belief and kickstart their CL/Kings cup momentum.

That was a big win for Barça and a sweet finish by Xavi. The advantage is still with Madrid but they're definitely catchable. Casillas has been absolutely unbelievable and but for him (and a large slice of luck), Madrid would have dropped a fair few more points. That said, all doesn't look right in the Barça camp. Things are starting to go fairly stale and Rijkaard seems to be living on borrowed time. Ronaldinho will be gone in the summer anyway. Messi's form had started to wain before he got the injury and Iniesta hasn't been as effective as he was at the start of the season. Hopefully that will all change soon and the team start to click again.

Now for the positives! Henry has started to show what he's capable of and I think he'll finish the season strongly. Toure and Eto'o will be back in the next few weeks aswell and that should be a huge boost to the team. But the player I've been most impressed with lately is Bojan. He's strong, intelligent and looks very accomplished despite his age. He's got a fantastic attitude aswell and will only get better as the season progresses.

in fairness iniesta has been used as a stop gap in almost every position bar the defence and the lone striker role. he hasnt been bad at all i just dont think he's been effective as he could be. he's been a victim of his own versatility. top top player though.

deco needs a swift kick in the backside, useless all season. end of the road for him in the summer.

    Jammy tbh :p

Madrid should win the league , how RVN out for?

Sky annoy the **** out of me Xavi scores, plainly feckin obvious it was him as the 3 strikers were all in the picture, cos the commentators not actually at the match they have to wait 3 minutes before they spot who scored it on the replay.

Sevilla 6 points off CL place (dont know the score of Espanyol match that could change it)
