Does anyone have any past IRTS exam papers for preparation for the exam on Wednesday?

    Thanks in advance

I presume you have the Sample paper...

    http://www.irts.ie/downloads/IRTS_Sample_Paper_r3.pdf

There won't be any past papers about because the paper is your answer book as well,so has to be handed up.

    Best of luck with it.

Yep, I has that one. :)

I was hoping there were one or two more about. I am a bag of nerves right now fretting about Wednesday. I feel I know nothing at all.

You'll be fine. I must try and locate that for you too...

In the meantime, feel free to shout back with any questions.

Does the actual test bare any similarity to the sample paper?

    I think so.

There's a pool of questions that are drawn from for each examination.

It's a pity its not fresher in my mind. The last test was considered a pig, so this one is bound to be easier.

I just had a look over the sample paper there... It all looks like double dutch to me now! I don't remember it being that coplicated, but then again, it was 11 years ago when I did it, and haven't really used it since :(

(Mobile phones are just so much easier) :holds head in shame:

Try using your mobile phone to talk to the crew on the International Space Station, won't work, whereas Ham radio will :)

Ham Radio has changed over the years, with new digital modes, APRS/GPS, new band allocations, satellites, space somms etc.

    You might renew your interest.
