When I used to work in game I found some of the best things were buying preowned :) discounts and sweet games!

    So much for play.com

I found preowned games in Gamestop are usually dearer than than Xtravision but I don't know what Games' prices are like for preowned games. Ebay is usually good aswell.

Basically game gave **** all and sold for usually about 90% profit-for example...

They would offer (say for a 360 game) 25euro then sell it at 59.99-5 euro cheaper than the RRP.

At one stage they offered 5euro for GTA san andreas but sold it for 40

Nice site. Anychance of posting up a list of your trade in prices?

  • Company Representative Posts: 2,957 ✭✭✭Gamesnash.ie: Pat

Thank you bigKev49. Unfortunately it would be inappropriate to start listing trade in prices here as this would be advertising of our products etc which is understandably prohibited on the board but feel free to send a pm.

We do both - as with the high street stores we offer more for gamers trading in against a purchase from us. Cash payments if required are made through paypal or by cheque at the choice of the user.

Trade in prices look good and the FREE postage looks even better :)

Thanks for that OP. I've been bidding on and off on ebay for a particular game - always get outbid for it. Just ordered it pre owned of this site for less than some of my bids so am well chuffed! Also convenient that you can pay via paypal.

Are there any plans for a pre-ordering facility Gamenash?

  • Company Representative Posts: 2,957 ✭✭✭Gamesnash.ie: Pat

Full Pre Ordering will be fully available by the end of this month. Game retailers are only guaranteed stock if booked literally months in advance with the distributors. We launched last October so our pre bookings from distributors will be coming on stream for March releases.

We have held back from accepting pre bookings up until now as we were unable to guarantee the amount of stock per game we would receieve prior to release day and felt it was better, as a new retailer on the Irish games scene, not to expose ourselves to the chance of letting a customer down on release day.

That said if there is a particular game a customer wants we will reserve a copy for them.

    Hey!
Not really a gaming console fan myself but I wonder if you will be implementing a PC gaming section in the coming future?

Yes there are plans to introduce a PC gaming section in the coming months. We expect PC games to be available from April.

Just bumping this thread based on my dealings with gamesnash.ie.

Basically I can't reccomend them highly enough. My order is being dispatched this evening and their customer service is the best I've come across from an interweb company, prompt and detailed responses to my queries were the rule, not the exception.

How does one get a game valued for exchanging?

  • Company Representative Posts: 2,957 ✭✭✭Gamesnash.ie: Pat

Thank you bigKev49 for the positive feedback - we're delighted you found our service level up to such a high standard.

Sweetie: We have a trade in form on the site - fill in the details of the game(s) you are wishing to trade in and our trade in dept will prepare a quote and email you back with it.

Ah I've noticed that there is already a PC section started off... though I guess it won't be kicking into high gear for a few more months?

In particular I hope that you guys would eventually be able to offer the latest titles...Dawn Of War Soulstorm comes to mind and Mass Effect(PC port) when it's theoratically released this May;).

This seems like a great site. Seems a lot cheaper than most highstreet shops. MY only irk is that theres not many decent pre-owned DS games

A lot of our pre owned DS games sell within a day or 2 of being listed. Our trade in service is starting to take off now and we are receiving more and more trade ins each week so we would expect our selection of pre owned games to grow a lot bigger in the coming months.

They sure do. I bought GTA 4 from Gamesnash with my AIB Banklink\Laser card.
All their payment options are at the top right corner of the front page.

    Highly recommended to deal with.
