I wonder are Apple about to release an updated version of the MBP?

There are a lot of 15" and 17" MBP models on the Apple Refurb store right now......more so than usual.

They usually clear the sales channels in this way right before a launch.

I hope so, I noticed quite a few MBPs on the refurb store on Wed (more than 15).

There has been a lot of stuff hinting to a new MBP alright. I plan on buying one this summer, so i hope this new one will have some improved features.

just bought a new mbp. obviously a new one would annoy me but the rumoured updates aren't going to mean a lot to me either way... except if it got a re-design :D

What are the rumoured updates? I was going to buy a mbp next week but I'd be prepared to wait a few months if a decent update was due. Is there any hint as to when the update will happen? Before the summer I hope.

Keep an eye on Mac Rumours. The current top story is rather relevant...

Unsubstantiated claims that new MBP will have:

    - Intel Penryn chips
    - Multi-touch keypads (like Air)
    - optional SSD drive

The dates that I have heard are Feb 12th and Mar 17th for release.

Ok so it doesn't look to far away. I think I'll wait and see what happens so. Lucky I decided to check boards today.
