All of the bodies do salary surveys – don’t even bother reading them, one in particular is a work of fiction to make people think that their members are better paid! 10 years after you qualify, you will be paid based on your experience and ability and not on your qualification. A CIMA with poor ability and experience will be paid a fraction of a CIMA with good abilities and experience. The key is to get the best experience you can and hope your poor spelling is not noticed by your prospective employer.

The best option is to go for large company that will ensure % increase each year. After that you can hop around different institutions and companies. The key really is experience but SOME companies want to ensure you have education to back up this.

If you have experience and then qualify it only reflects better than no qualification at all.
