Trouble with DVD Recorder

I recently bought an Acoustic Solutions HD DVD recorder. I have Sky digital. I hooked it up as per instructions but while it will play DVDs I can't get any signal to it so therefore can't record. Does anybody know if I am just missing someting or could it be that these recorders are not compatibile with digital boxes.

I was in the same boat.Last wed i bought a "wharfedale" dvd recorder from argos.Cost me 120euro btw.Anyway, through scart, i connected it to the sky box using the sky box's second scart socket.No matter what i tried i could'nt get the dvd recorder to pick up the sky.So, to cut a long story short i tried connecting the sky box using the supplied RF cable and then i finally got the dvd recorder to pick it up.It was fairly to set up after that.I'm guessin you bought this
