I am very interested in using the Hi Velocity system from www.ejfidgeon.com. Just wondering if anyone else here has used it and also if there are alternatives I should look at?
    Thanks.

Theres an article in the current self build magazine about warm air heating that would be worth a look.

I have it installed and it works well at regulating the temp. I installed the system as the house is airtight (SIP panel). Iwould advise to install it only if you are building a superwarm house as the costs to run would be otherwise expensive.
Also it dies make some noise but it tolearable and you get used to it

Thanks for the tip. I got the magazine and it was an interesting article.
AJL, it's great that you have it installed and you are generally happy with it. Do you figure that it isn't as efficient as other forms of heating then?
I am going with the M2 wall system and generally keeping the insulation spec well up there so it should be a very warm house generally.

Not sure what M2 build is? the thing I like about the system is ease of installation because the construction is timber and SIP panels. Easy to bore through the different sections for installation. For concrete construction need to put in ducting to allow for the passing of the flexi hosing. Would tie in early with fidgeon at construction stage.
It is efficient if you look at it across the winter. 3400 sqft house. Reckon heating will cost about 800-900 euros. Comparted to standard heating metthosThat is just over one fill of oil and I have no other source of heating other than a small gas stove that I put on the odd time. Put in solar panels for the hot water. Works a treat in the spring summer,
