"Their leaders were Hengest and Horsa; who were the sons of Wihtgils; Wihtgils was the son of Witta, Witta of Wecta, Wecta of Woden. From this Woden arose all our royal kindred, and that of the Southumbrians also."
(trans. J. Ingram, The Saxon Chronicle, (Studio Editions; London), p. 14.

Not just this Saxon scribe either. Snorri says as much in the the Heimkringla, Saxo Grammaticus says the same in the Gesta Danorum, and the Venerable Bede also noted it.

But not really a story as such.

    Otherwise VÖLUSPÁ

    17.
    From this crowd
    stepped out three
    gentle and mighty
    aesir.
    They found Ask
    and Embla on land,
    in bad shape
    and without fate.

    18.
    They had neither
    soul nor sense,
    heat or motion
    or healthy hue.
    Odin gave soul,
    Hönir gave sense,
    and Lodur gave heat
    and healthy hue.
