    "Ça te dit de (+inf)"
"dit" is in the present so the situation is more in the present:
"Ca te dit d'aller manger ?" - "Want to go eat (now)?"

    "Ça te dirait de (+inf)"
"dirait" is conditional an so the situation is more in the future:
"Ca te dirait d'aller manger dans un restaurant ?" - "Want to go eat in a restaurant (soon/later)?"

But as you're book says, they can often be used interchangeably. I'd use "dirait" more often cos I feel it's less imposing as it implies more of a suggestion than an order.
    Hope I helped.
