Macbooks are brillant. I only made the plunge about three weeks ago and i can honestly say it was one of my best decisions. They are both portable and powerful. I love the way they just work well with no complications. i'm off myself to america in may and contemplating buying a macbook air.

I've fallen out of love with mine. On the same day I received it I had to return it, as it crashed before it even got through the user setup stage. And now I have to return it again as the DVD burner has died and the case has a growing crack in it like the one discussed in here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055222172

Love the OS (after a few days I really didn't like using windows anymore), love the feel, but the hardware just hates me.

    I love the Macbook.

I only bought mine last week and i must say i am very very impressed.

I also have an iMac and i must sa,y to do light work i pick up my Macbook first. I love it so much. Before i go this macbook ( which i am typing from now) i had only ever used a windows laptop and i always hated them. I could never feel comfortable using them. But this Macbook is something else and has changed my mind about the whole laptop world.

I love mine, it's very fast and I never have any software issues (unlike my dead laptop....RIP). The only issue I have with it is that the hardware seems a lot more delicate than my old HP laptop, the casing has cracked twice since I've had it (without any drops or tumbles!) so it might be worth investing in the extended warranty which is also cheaper in America. To repair the casing outside of the 1 yr warranty is ridiculously expensive and I'm planning on picking up the Applecare when I'm in America in March as my 1 yr warranty is up in April.
