    Hello everyone,

I am looking for a particular Valentine's gift this year. It's a Beaujolais wine called "Saint-Amour". I don't mind from which Domaine. I would appreciate any help tracking it down in Dublin or generally in Ireland. Any places to order it online maybe?

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    mC.

Harvey Nichols USED to stock it a couple of years ago. It's gorgeous slightly chilled.

Other romance-themed wines include a range of American wines called "Menage A Trois", for the more, ahem, modern couple. Available from www.wineshop.ie

Maybe Bonny Doon's (American again) "The Heart Has Its Rieslings"? Not sure where you'd get that, but Bonny Doon wines are certainly for sale in Ireland.

If you can't get the St. Amour, I'd go for Hugel et Fils' "Cuvee Les Amours" It's Pinot Blanc from Alsace (France) and the tasting notes say Pear, Almond, Melon, Limestone, and that it's a stellar match for...oysters. I THINK IDL supply Hugel wines. You could give them a call 872 5566 and ask them where you can buy it.

If you're set on the St. Amour, decent bets might be Terroirs Wine Shop (Donnybrook) or maybe The French Paradox?

Oh wow! Thanks for your reply rediguana! That's a great help. Will check those out.

Apart from the menage a trois ;) and I'm no fan of Riesling either. But the Pinot Blanc would do nicely too. I am just kind of set on the St-Amour because I have had it before and loved it. I wouldn't want to give something where I am not sure of the quality.

    Thanks again! :)

    edit:
I checked Terroirs and the French Paradox today. The both don't have it. I found a uk shop that delivers. Crazy money for delivery...but I had to have this one. Went to NickDobsonWines.com
