NAC - Pool Depths

Hi, Just joined the NAC lst week and was wondering about how they arrange the pool depths. The full 50M is apparently 2.4M in depth when in use. I'm not a particularly strong swimmer as yet - well, I'm rubbish, really!! - and have only started taking proper technique lessons. Is there a time when the pool is made shallower…

Hi,

Just joined the NAC lst week and was wondering about how they arrange the pool depths. The full 50M is apparently 2.4M in depth when in use.

I'm not a particularly strong swimmer as yet - well, I'm rubbish, really!! - and have only started taking proper technique lessons. Is there a time when the pool is made shallower to, say 1.2M - 1.5M depth, when the full pool is not in use?

When the 50m pool is not in use the "rough" configuration is:

(1) shallow kids pool [for lessons mostly]
(2) 2.4m lap pool... laned off
(3) Approx 1.5m leisure pool for swimming/relaxing.
