    Folks,

We're currently building a house and we're putting in a small music room. We're looking at putting in Under Floor Heating all over the house but is it possible to put an upright piano into a room with UFH?

You could put the piano sitting on something that does not conduct heat

I would NOT recommend a wooden piano on floors that are heated. Over time it WILL warp and go out of tune.

Hiya Slumped. What would you recommend putting it on?

I'm not too sure, never had to do it with my pianos!

Something with a reflective surface perhaps?

Even a thick piece of carpet/rug might help

You just want to make sure the piano is not getting hot.

It will adapt to minor temp changes,

You should get it tuned around 6 months after putting in the heating and see how it is.
