    Hi

This may be a stupid question so please bear with me
I bought a new house and noticed that there is a 3 pin socket on
the wall where the oven is fitted, Ie behind the oven under the counter it cannot be accessed from behind or above and surely an oven cannot be plugged into a 3 pin socket . Anybody shed any light as to why the builder / electrician would fit a socket here.

It'd be for the sparker in a gas cooker to ignite the flame.
