I was walking down ballyboden road(just past the travellers housing) when a 666 dublin bus went by, empty and not stopping for anyone waiting for the 15b.

Now it was 666 on the front AND the side, so I'm just wondering if it was a drivers joke at whitechurch and the trouble that does go on there all the time?

Not only have I seen '666' on the side of busses before, but also '53X' and a couple of others that I can't remember rigth now. It's a joke, but I wouldn't say that it's directed at Whitechurch in particular.

It would be a bus returning to the garage out of service from Whitechurch.

Some rosters involve buses starting or finishing at the outer terminus, rather than in the city.

    Could have been a lost 29A - (29A in hex = 666 in decimal) :D

    D.

    Shouldn't a 666 bus go to Blackchurch?

it's a bit of an exaggeration to state that there's trouble in whitechurch all the time, granted there was an issue just after the 15b extended there but haven't heard of anything since

Ah I'm from the area dereko, nothing as bad as that big incident but theres always small incidents. Fights on the bus, leaving used needles around(yes, its actually happened a few times), harassing and intimidating drivers and passengers - but its nothing you dont get on quite a few of the worse bus routes.
