Is there a similar game to Drake's Fortune in the pipeline?

Finished Uncharted a couple of weeks ago - brilliant game and for me, a nice break from fps which are really getting boring at this point, apart from COD online that is.

I've been looking at all the new games that are supposed to be getting released this year and nothing really appeals. I'm not interested in car games so GT is out, fighting games like Tekken are boring and like I said fps are becoming pretty repetative.

So is there a similar game to Uncharted coming out or will I be stocking up on my blu ray movie collection instead?????

The developers are already working on a sequel, but I wouldn't expect it too soon.
Really enjoyed that game as well. Easily the best game on the PS3 and one of the best games of 2007.

You should give Ratchet & Clank a whirl. Its a good third-person action platforming shooter type of game.

There's a new Tomb Raider in development isn't there? Though to be honest I haven't really enjoyed a Tomb Raider game since after the second one.

Yeah, there's tomb raider underworld. Preview here:

Not sure if it'll be as good as Uncharted though. There will be an Uncharted 2..I'd guess it'll be out for Xmas 09.

As ongarite mentioned, Ratchet might be worth a look. It's not quite the same, environmental exploration is different than Uncharted, it's more of a straight jumper and shooter..but if third person action is what you want, it's a great game. Try the demo on the PSN.

Also, Bionic Commando from Capcom might be worth keeping an eye out for.

ha sounds like a MegaMan update

Or an update of the 21 year old Bionic Commando...
It looks pretty cool indeed, the trailer on PSN has definitely put this near the top of my list of games to keep an eye on

we had Bionic Comando on either the Commador 64 or the Sega Mega Drive and it rocked. greatest game involving a commando with a hook that he could swing from.... ever!

The new tomb raider would probably be the closest game to uncharted.

I dont fancy tomb raider though, It will have to get glowing reviews for me to even think about it. Was a huge fan of the first few, but am just not interested in them at all anymore.

Uncharted is an amazing game, its set a pretty high benchmark for other games thats for sure.

Uncharted is also not a one off, its a franchise that will hopefully see game after game improve on the last.

So the short answer is I have to wait for Uncharted 2 - nuts:mad: Good job my ps3 is getting plenty of use as a blu ray player then!!

What was it that you liked about Uncharted that you are looking for in another game? Uncharted was an unusual mix of exploring, 3rd person shooting and puzzle elements. It's not surprising a similar game isn't on its way but that doesn't mean that there isn't something else you might like coming out soonish.

wouldn't Devil May Cry 4 fall into that category?

I suppose it kind of does, but the action in DMC is very different to Uncharted.

Hey you said it all in the above - its a great game because it crosses all the boundaries - plenty of action, some puzzles to get the brain going, great graphics, a good story (though not a great story as it got a little far fetched with the you know whats towards the end;) - bit like far cry I suppose) and it had some humour in its main character. I can't think of any other game that has all that.

I would say Ratchet & Clank has all of those. Maybe not so much in the way of puzzles but plenty of action, story, humour and great graphics.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've seen R & C in the shops and it looks like a kiddies game (yeah I'm the wrong end of my thirties:(). Am I wrong? and if so, is there a demo that I can download from the PSN store?
