I think its like 3 - 4 a4 pages for the comparative, poetry and the play.

For the unseen poem an a4 page and a half?

You are better of asking your teacher though

I know you say not to say "its quality blah blah blah" but our teacher says its whatever it takes to get your points accross. In the studied section i generally do 4-5 points with an intro and closing, with about half a page or so per point, so about 4 pages in all, if each point isnt exactly half a page

Does anybody know what exactly is the story with quotes & stating where they come from i.e. scene/line numbers in Shakespeare, page number in a novel? Is it necessary or not to put this in?

God no! Dont bother yourself trying to learn the acts and scene lines! You will only give yourself a rediculous workload!:)

With regards putting in quotes etc. etc. we were told to skip a line and write the quote in red pen to distinguish it from the rest of the answer. Also, you should write the quote as it is in the book. i.e skipping lines when you need to. putting in commas etc.

I don't even know who said most of my Othello quotes... Page numbers would be redundant, that'd depend on your edition of the book.

That's what I figured, my teacher said something about it but I think he was just trying to wind us up or make us learn them better, god knows  Thanks anyway!

...even the line number would be dependant on the book

No it wouldnt because the lines in all the books are the same. They are all identical to what shakespeare wrote in terms of line spacing, number of words per line, commas, apostrophes etc. ec. However the page number of the books will vary because of illustratons taking up pages and commentaries and what not.

Well no, because when I was doing The Merchant of Venice for JC, our teachers lines were way different to ours
