Haven't seen the new series of Fight Science yet at all.

There seems to be quite a few martial arts related shows popping up: TUF, Human Weapon, Last Man Standing, Fight Science, Fight Quest, Fight Club (Dog Brothers show on National Geographic coming out) etc.

I don't want to start another thread on this, but on the subject of MMA on TV- I was watching a show on TG4 last night with that redzer guy Hector... He popped into a gym where Michael Bisping was training and they did a short segment on MMA. Not a bad plug for the sport. A few slo-mo clips of actual fights, and then Bisping showed him the inside of the cage, did a bit of Thai pads and then gently took Hector down and gave him an idea of what ground and pound was like (going very easy).

    Can imagine that

"Hector anseo! Tá mé ar an urlár le buachaill mór Michael Bisping agus tá sé ag baitin the sh1te outta me. Earlier, bhí mé ag bhuail na thai pads agus bhí a lán craic agam! Tá mé completely as mo bosca!"

here the full episode, don't know if or when it will air this side of the water, not bad, and at least there's no deadly ninja palm strike this time around. ;)

Its a good show and definately worth a look.

The problem is, the dummy Bas is punching and kicking is supported. So when Bas kicks it it doesnt move, compared to the other martial arts kicks where the dummy is allowed to swing wildly.

Its lucky there are refs in this sport though. Also, Randy's lactic acid thing is insane!

    Peace

Bas himself is saying the same thing over on his forum.

These shows should be taking with a pinch of salt! entertaining but i believe the results are already decided before the athletes do anything, then the test is made easier so they can prove this!! Bas is a legend..
