Superhero Movie (Trailer)

Is this coming from the same people that gave us such monstrosities as Date Movie and Epic Movie?

Think it looks pretty dreadful myself. Another one of those spoof movies where they just take iconic moments from another film (in this case Spiderman 1) and subvert them with painful slapstick humour.

I think Mystery Men shall remain the finest superhero satire on the basis of this trailer anyway.

Oh for the love of all the good actors/directors/producers and writers that have gone before us, why would they do this?

Between this and Meet the Spartans it could be an awful time for movies.

Wow, talk about your pieces of crap...

I'd really like to see a movie version of something like Blue Beetle or the Irredeemable Ant-man; something with a smart-assed superhero but without the "hey, let's make him a lovable loser so that the character arc can be one of those tedious 'redemptive' things where he learns how to be a hero at the end" crap that tends to get crowbarred in there.

Looks a bit abysmal alright. Any old idiot could rewrite Spider-man to make it 'funny'... oh wait, they just did didn't they? One or two decent gags in the trailer. Most of them were rubbish though.

Now THIS is a superhero movie spoof!*

*Please note I take no personal responsibility if Hancock turns out to be bad.

    That... looks.... HORRIFIC!

/\ 'Hancock' does look great though!

Argh, Hancock looks every bit as bad - keeping the improbable nature of superheroes but just lumping in real-world consequences around them for comedic effect. If the script is tighter and smarter than the trailer suggests, it could be good (I'm thinking something along the lines of Zoolander with superheroes).

That's it appeal for fecks sake... get a clue Fysh! :D

Ah crap, clearly I'm suffering from "forest-for-the-trees" syndrome as comics mod. ;) (Seriously though, the amount of comics that try to be all serious and "grounded in the real world", yet inexplicably feature people running around in skintight primary-colours spandex...)

I think Hancock is taking the mick out of just that (note the lack of spandex). Everybody hates Hancock as they would hate real superheroes.
At least they bothered writing a new script, not just shot-for-shot remaking Spider-man with added... jokes(?).
