Do I need a medical?

Got a job offer today and the company asked me to write a confirmation letter indicating if I am (to the best of my knowledge) in good health. Does this mean that I should go for a medical of my own accord and forward a doctors report to them or just say that I'm in good health?

Ask your doctor to write a letter stating that you are in good health, that should suit them, it's all i've ever needed to do.
Don't hand over any medical records.
