Does it have 1 or 2 tuners, so say you can record one station while watching another? Also how noisy is it compared to the regular digital box!

As stated in the many previous threads, it has 2 tuners whereby you can record one program and wacth another at the same time and an awful lot noisier than the regular PACE digital box.

This is because it has a hard disk. You will also find that the disk can be spinning away for extended periods of time even if the DVR is in standby mode.

Thanks for that. I have heard a few conflicting stories on this, its nice to have it cleared up!

No noise from mine except when you turn it on first thing, then you hear it booting up. Great piece of equipment, only drawback is you can only record one programme while watching another unlike Sky where you can record 2.

wuhoo got mine installed today. big but still quiet compared to our old Sony TV.... maybe it's time for a new gigantic screen... on the other hand, i'm liking the menu, guide... responsive but there's always room for improvements...
