So, Sigma have released some new lenses -

200-500mm f/2.8 Sounds impressive. Add their extender, and you have 400-1000mm f/5.6

Only if it comes with a forklift (or a donkey)

Looks awesome though, wonder what the pricetag will be like..... so I can get one when I win the lottery on Saturday :)

leave the euro millions out of it now.. that €130m is mine :D

500 2.8 is nice, but perhaps a little impractical unless you've got a range rover to mount it on. I wonder if there's going to be a custom made gimbal head for it? on a custom made tripod... and you can only setup that lot after your application for planning permission is successful...

That 150-500 OS looks like a nice bit of kit though.

Funnily enough it is made for a rich Sheikh who wants to shoot wildlife...in a preserve (which is kinda like a big zoo...)

You'd probably want to re-mortgage your house to buy it and the land rover/tank to mount it on.

It looks pretty good - kinda like a whale in my eyes

Was thinking the exact opposite really :D Looks as if some child with a bad infection threw up all over it. I'm quite surprised they didnt make it white to help with the ol heat reflection and all that.

can you see the camera attached to it?
    and the view finder?

Now ... you could use that for .... err ..... stellar photography? It certainly wouldn't be used for sports or wildlife. Maybe for taking a photo of someone who's 4 miles away. :D

    Interesting glass though.

You're probably still better off with the 11-22 from Olympus.

Or wait for the consumer 8-16mm :)

could be a long wait though

I'm happy enough with the 14-42 but would like to go wider, I'll just have to stay with Autostitch.

    This lens looks interesting
A little slow but might make a decent zoom lens
