Private Speech Therepy for child going to school

    Hi, I don't know if this is the right forum, whether parenting might be better. I just found this forum and it looked like it might cover it.

    I have a child about to go to school who has a problem with speech. It is not a stammer, rather saying p sounds for v and similar. So even would be epen and similar.

    She is on the public list for a while now and I wanted to get her seen before school starts.

    Has anyone been through this and is there anything I should know about going the private route.
