Sky Remote Codes

Don't know if anybody can help me, but I decided to bite the bullet after Christmas, and finally join the rest of the world by purchasing a Plasma Television. Anyway for the life of me I cannot get my Sky+ remote to work with this television, its an LG 50", model no. 50PC55, and today I must have tried about 50 different codes, none of which worked. Anyway I am just hoping that somebody out there might have a code that will work, as this particular model is not listed as of yet on Sky, under the Intercative Services.

    Cheers

Check the stickys at the top of the page, you should find what you're looking for there, or try 206 that usually works for me for LG.

There is no known code for Sky+ RCU Revision 6 for the LG.
For Sky HD RCU revision 8 the code is 0206 . Might work !

I have tried every code under the sun at this stage, but cannot get the remote to work, so at this stage it looks like I will have to purchase a Revision 8 Sky remote. However my worry is that I will waste 30 or 40 quid on a new remote, only to find that it doesn't work either, so its kind of a catch 22 situation.

I finally got it working, but I had to get a Sky+ revision 8 remote control to do this. Thankfully my parents in law just recently got Sky+ in, and as luck would have it their remote was a revision 8. So I swapped remotes with them, and now it works fine.

For the record, £18.50 plus postage plus VAT would have got you a new Sky-Hd remote. (You could probably get a stolen-from-Sky remote even cheaper off eBay).

Maybe buy one in Argos and if it doesn't work, return under their 16 day guarantee?
