Only admins and smods can read ip addresses. There are only 7 admins and 8 smods, all of which have much better things to be doing than checking out random peoples ip address. They would only do it in extremely rare circumstances though e.g. spam.

If people want to know your IP its not hard to find it. Mods are the least of your worries in that regard.
