Hi, i'm sure someone here can help.

I bought a car today and there was a Nokia bluetooth device in it. Now i have managed to pair my phone with the device. The problem is when i try to make a call, the radio mutes....which it should, but i can't hear my phone! Is there some settings i have to change, never used one before!?

Oh, there is also a Nokia cradle in the car, my old nokia phone fits perfectly, but same problem when i make the call.

Anyhow, thanks for the help in advance.

The device looks like the small yoke in the bottom left of this pic.

Make sure when you paired the phone it was with 'Headset Profile' as opposed to 'Handsfree Profile' in bluetooth connections. The older Nokia bluetooth car kits only support 'Headset Profile's', not sure about newer models.

Is the speaker still attached to the car kit?
My girlfriend has one of those car kits in her car, and every time she turns the ignition, after about 3or4 seconds you can hear a beep from the speaker.
    Do you hear that?

    thanks for the replies.

billbond4, i'm not sure tbh. I don't hear that beep anyway. Where is the speaker usually located? Had a quick look under the passenger and driver footwells and there isnt really room to put one there....

It could be shoved behind the radio on the passenger side, try looking behind the footwell on the right leg side of the passenger side, it could be installed up near the radio
