Bankroll Management

    Okay,

So Ive been playing poker for about 3 years. Ive never really kept any sort of control over what money I play poker with and what money I live life with. For example, say i get paid today and go into the Fitz and sit down with €300 in a cash game, play for a few hours, and leave with €600. When I went home id just keep all the money in my room. Then at the weekend there could be a big night out or a weekend away, I wouldnt hesitate simply digging into the money in my room and spending that.

So starting next month Im going to give this bankroll management lark a decent effort and see how it goes.

Does anyone have any good tips/info I should know before starting? or any good websites/articles i could read.

    Thanks!

Only risk 5% of your roll at any one time.

Seperate your roll from everything else, designate a certain amount of money to poker and don't use it for anything else
Keep a record of everytime you play and profit and losses so you know how much your winning and losing.
Do that and your own right track
