Anyone wanting to go to Glastonbury this year will need to pre-register a mug shot via www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk between 1st February and 14th March. Aparently there will be an option when doing this for them to remember your registration for the next few years as well so that you don't need to do it again.

Tickets themselves will be going on sale on 6th April.

Yes. There was a bug in the order system which meant if you got through once you got through everytime though so once one person got through they could buy for all their mates etc (providing they had card + reg details of course). I suspect this will be patched this time around and its going to be much harder to get alot of them this time.

Was relatively easy last year, but then i was one of the people who got lucky with the bug in the system. I've never failed to get all the tickets i needed yet and have been going since 95, but i guess that means i'm due to miss out this year.

Do they post tickets out to your or do you have to collect them form that Bath and West place?

Really hope get tickets now hehe

You gotta collect them. Last year was a horrible 2hr ordeal to do so.

Feck. Just went and registered and wasn't paying proper attention to what I was doing and registered with my Irish address. Will have to go and do it again with a different address now so as to avoid the trip to the showground.

Yeah Bath&West was a total pain in the ar$e last year. Especially because we got a taxi from the airport directly to the site and we drove right by the main entrance on the way to bath&west.

Does anyone know why the Glastonbury message boards were shutdown, they were very handy for info?

edit: actually just realised its still there but they don't link to it on the glastonbury website anymore

quick tip try and avoid any of the coach packages if they are still doing it this year.

we tought it would be great to travel up with our mates from london.

trip up was ok'ish , bus due to leave at 3 didnt leave till 7 got to the site round 10ish setting up in the rain in the dark with next to no space was not fun.

the bus home was a disaster , the rain on the monday morning was monsoonesque. then dumped in london at 10 in the morning with our flight at 8 that night . possibly the most horendous day of my life.

    but all worth it .

    Potatoes for tent pegs

I predict a lot of tents getting washed/ blown away if they are using potatoes to hold them into the ground.

I also see you can buy tickets for up to 4 people at a time this year(Instead of 2 last year). Should make it easier to get tickets for groups of people.

Last year was 4 as well.

Would it be handy to have a car so? will be gettin ferry over

You can order the car park tickets at the same time as you put through your order for the main tickets, if you get through. They are usually only a fiver I think but I have seen them flogging them as you enter the car parks in previous years as well to anyone that didn't have one.

    HEADLINERS REVEALED!!

Didn't think there would be confirmation this early, I remember last year there was uncertainties right up until a week before hand. Maybe there isn't a lot of people registering?
Anyway compared to last year's headliners this one blows it out of the water!!!!

Not too sure about the Saturday one though, but different to say the least. I much prefered it when they didn't announce until after the tickets had been sold but it's possibly to do with Eavis wanting to attract a different crowd though so has to annouce it before the registrations have even finished.

    Why Jay Z...and Neil Diamond...

In fairness, that's a p*ss poor lineup of headliners. When did the Verve last have a record out - ten years ago? And they weren't exactly great.

And Jay-Z? I expect that is part of Eavis' retarded idea to get more teenagers to attend Glastonbury. If he is successful with this, chances are i'm never going to get to a Glasto - teenagers RUIN festivals.

LOL they don't mean actual potatoes! They are pegs made from corn and potato starch - in one of the canteens in my company they use cutlery made from starch and it is VERY sturdy!

now....will we get tickets...that is the question..

Aparently the registrations were around the 285,000 mark near the end which I think is quite a bit less than last year. Not sure that means anything though other than people were not registering multiple times quite as much but we have had several muddy years recently now though so just keep telling everyone that the weather is expected to be rubbish for June and we might manage to put a few more people off trying to book come the 6th.
