Do I get to keep old NTL digital box if I upgrade to DVR box?

Currently have 1 tv using NTL digital box and 1 using analogue cable.
If I order a DVR box from NTL will they take away the old digital box or do I get to keep it?

Was hoping to keep the old box and use it on the analogue tv.

    Thanks

Do don't know for sure but i'd say you do get to keep the box, you will be charged for using the two boxes aswell.

No, on the phone they warned me to make sure the guy took it back, otherwise there would be a €120 charge or something like that.

No you can keep it as a additional point in another room you will have to pay 7.50e pm for it though

I asked the guy if he would take mine back and he said "If you want me to." I got the impression I could keep it, perhaps I would have been charged though.

I work for them, we have to take them back only unless you want to use it on another point in your house. You only rent the box from them, if you loose it. 400 euro and 50 euro foe the smart card

Slightly off the topic, noticed a number of mmds antennas on houses in Bellewstown,County Meath, beside racecourse, was just wondering what transmitter they would be picking up a signal from and if digital.

Got the DVR last last year (MMDS), used to have 2 boxes, gave both back.
I see on the latest bill I am being charged for "MMDS Additional Digital Basic".

Seems to be about the same price as one old box.

Is this a mistake, or does the DVR count as 2 subs, i.e, meaning 1 x €19.42 + 1 x €7.50/month, or is this just a "mistake" on the bill?

Any got a similar setup (MMDS - DVR - no extra boxes) care to comment?

No, it should be an extra €5. You're still being charged for two boxes. Contact them about this. Seek a refund, on principle.

Ok, seems the standard DVR install automatically cancels the card for the existing box (the one the DVR replaces). For extra boxes, you need to cancel yourself. I got the installer to do this when the DVR was being installed & he took both boxes away, but looks like something fell between the cracks & I'm still being charged for the extra box.

Will have to call billing (who work shorter hours & not weekends) ASAP.
